Apple Capital Recreation Loop At the two entry points of this recreational trail are portable restrooms and parking lots.On this trail there are three bridges that cross the Wenatchee and the Colubia rivers. Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail Running through California, Oregon and Washington, the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) is known for its scenic views, ranging terrains and changes in elevation as it connects Mexico and Canada. Try a small section for a day trip or spend the season crossing the nation by foot or by horse. Spanning 2,650 mi (4,240 km) the PCT does not permit motorized vehicle use and permits are required. Those making it across the entire trail will cross 60 major mountain passes, go through 19 canyons, pass more than 1,000 lakes and wander through seven national parks. Cascade Pass Trail This trail is a popular starting point for climbing to Sahale, Boston, Mixup, and Magic Peaks and the Ptarmigan Traverse, reaching the Glacier Peak Wilderness. Visitors enjoy a diverse wildlife and camping facilities are available as well. Access: Start at Cascade River Road until reaching State Route 20 at Marblemount, which extends for 23.1 mi (37 km) to the trailhead. |
