This orange figure is a six-foot-long replica of the airplane, Miss Veedol. The replica is dedicated to the people of Misawa in Japan and East Wenatchee and Wenatchee. This monument gained importance due to Pangborn-Herndon flight, the first non-stop flight across the Pacific that occurred in 1931.
